Week 2!
Today marks Week 2 of working on the building that we have nicknamed Bombshell Betty. Last weekend, the team swept and cleaned and swept some more, but without electricity and running water, there was only so much that could be done.
Nicole and Andy worked hard to make sure that the electricity and running water would be working by this weekend, and they succeeded. Never has running water looked so beautiful! This weekend’s plan is ambitious – lots of scrubbing and washing, not to mention tearing down a couple walls, staining kitchen cabinets, tiling a countertop, and more. Oh, not to mention starting this blog to keep the world updated on our progress!
This certainly is an exciting project. Just in the past week its easy to see the progress we have made, but there is much much more to be done.
